The Manchester Young Professionals Netball League new season is now well underway with the first match of the season for Hilary Meredith Solicitors having taken place on the 9th September against Booth Ainsworth Chartered Accountants.
Despite Booth Ainsworth taking an early lead the half time score was in the Hilary Meredith team’s favour at 9-6. The second half started well with further goals from the HMS side but despite their admirable defending efforts, the final score was 19-13 to Booth Ainsworth.
The ‘Player of the Match’ went to Kerry Hayes who has only recently joined Hilary Meredith Solicitors as a Case Review Manager.
Hannah Ashcoft, Captain for the Hilary Meredith Solicitors team, commented, “Every member of the team did incredibly well and worked relentlessly throughout the game. Our confidence has increased from the performance and we are already looking forwards to our next match against Gateley on 23rd September”.
The Manchester Young Professionals Netball league was established in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength offering professional individuals an opportunity to network and exercise with the matches being played at Wright Robinson College in Gorton.
