My dear friend Lord Alf Morris has sadly passed away, I will miss him terribly. We have worked together for over 25 years in a long campaign to assist and improve the lives of serving and ex military personnel and their family’s, always the gentleman, gracious and kind. He helped those who were too ill or infirm to help themselves.
He asked many questions to the government for me in the House of Lords and never shied away from controversy to help those who needed it the most.
I was invited to celebrate Alfs 40th anniversary of the passing of the Sickness bill a crucial piece of legislation which helped improve the lives of many and only a small part of the work he did.
Alf has dedicated his life to public service and improving the lives of others. He was an MP in the true sense, selfless and dedicated always putting others first.
He leaves a legacy of improvement and quality of life for those with illness and disability that will live on forever.
My heart goes out to his family
God bless you Alf
