A guest blog – Ben’s wish

As part of my role as an Armed Forces community ambassador for Hilary Meredith Solicitors, I like to take part in local charity fundraising and challenges.

March saw me take part in an event for a charity called Ben’s Wish.

Ben is 10-year-old boy from Leigh, who was born with cerebral palsy and is currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia.  The charity aims to support his wish of travelling to Jamaica.

The challenge was called Home from Home for Ben. It was an 18 mile walk from Leigh to Manchester to visit Ben’s  two favourite teams – Leigh Centurions and Manchester City. I took part on my hand cycle raising awareness for the charity and also give a donation to the charity as part of my community role with Hilary Meredith Solicitors.
