1. CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE SOLICITOR

We are currently recruiting for a 2-4 year PQE Assistant Solicitor to assist the Director and Solicitor with a large caseload of multi-track Clinical Negligence cases.

You will have a strong desire to work in this area of law and experience in handling Clinical Negligence or Personal Injury cases.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure cases are progressed in a timely, efficient and proactive manner.
  • Liaising with clients, experts, barristers, third party solicitors as necessary.
  • Dealing with all aspects of pre and post issue procedures in a timely and cost effective manner. Pursuing cases to conclusion.
  • Ensuring all actions as per Proclaim Action List are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Reviewing and summarising medical and personnel records
  • Maintaining client files in good order in accordance with Lexcel requirements.
  • Managing a Proclaim task list in a timely manner
  • Accurate time recording.
  • Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases
  • Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • It is envisages the successful solicitor to have 2 years + PQE, with experience dealing with a broad range of Clinical Negligence matters.
  • You should be able to handle your own caseload autonomously and be confident undertaking your own advocacy.
  • Clear understanding and application of Clinical Negligence Law
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent client care skills to include a good telephone manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to form and execute case planning and strategies
  • Keen analytical skills
  • Good organisational skills and able to effectively prioritise
  • Ability to form and execute case planning and strategies
  •  Experience in using Proclaim is preferable but not necessary
  • Experience in supervision
  • Desire to work in a small team environment with a senior solicitor and others
  •  Desire to contribute to the growth and development of a dynamic team

2. SOLICITOR

We are currently recruiting for a 2-5 year PQE Assistant Solicitor with advocacy experience or a willingness to undertake advocacy work in a tribunal court, to assist a Partner with a large caseload.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaising with clients, experts, barristers, third party solicitors as necessary.
  • Dealing with all aspects of pre and post issue procedures in a timely and cost effective manner. Pursuing cases to conclusion.

We are currently recruiting for a LPC Graduate to assist a Partner with a large caseload.  The role will be to work under supervision and in line with current company policies and legal requirements. To accept delegated tasks as directed by the Partner.

Applications are welcome from candidates with claimant personal injury experience.

LPC graduates with a strong academic background and one year’s paralegal experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Drafting skills
  • Reviewing and summarising medical and personnel records

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate, preferably with Law related degree and / or professional qualification such as LPC
  • Had experience and conduct of some of their own cases, although not essential.
  • Attention to detail
