Hilary Meredith Solicitors has become a founder member of the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO).
ACSO has been established as a not-for-profit membership body to represent the interests of consumers as claimants in the civil justice system.
By engaging with policymakers, regulators, wider industry and the media, ACSO works to ensure there is a properly functioning, competitive and sustainable civil justice system for honest consumers.
Commenting on the firm’s decision to join ACSO, Hilary Meredith, Chair at Hilary Meredith Solicitors said:
“We look forward to partnering with ACSO to provide coherent and expert responses to regulatory challenges, as well as practical answers to the question of how we maintain access to justice, control unnecessary costs, tackle poor behaviour in the wider insurance sector and make sure the most vulnerable in our society get the treatment and, where appropriate, compensation they deserve.”
Charles Layfield, Chairman of ACSO said:
“Hilary Meredith Solicitors works on a national level to ensure there is a properly functioning and accessible civil justice system – particularly for members of our armed forces. We look forward to working with Hilary and the team to champion access to justice in Westminster, with regulators, in the media and among the public at large.”
