Hilary Meredith supports Broughton House’s Buy a Brick campaign

As a proud Trustee of Broughton House, Hilary Meredith was delighted to attend the launch of the charity’s Buy a Brick campaign today.
Established in 1916 to provide treatment to the thousands of soldiers returning from the trenches of WW1, Broughton House has since evolved into a dedicated charity and nursing home for veterans living their remaining years amongst friends and a team committed to serving all those who served us.
The Broughton House – Veteran Care Village ‘Buy a Brick Campaign’ aims to raise £1,000,000 to assist in generating the remaining funds required to build the UK’s first Veteran Care Village.

The campaign allows individuals, schools, community groups and companies to join together in making a significant difference to the lives of our current and future residents. The different giving levels allow everyone to support.

Building work on the UK’s first Veteran Care Village at Broughton House started in August 2018.

To date, £11.6 million has been raised enabling Phase 1 to be built. This fantastic facility will include 64 bed Nursing and Residential facility, the Armed Forces Support Hub, 6 veteran apartments, a museum, gym, treatment room and meeting facilities.

Phase 2, which will include up to 24 independent living apartments, is dependent on Broughton House raising an additional £3.5 million.
