I thoroughly support Lord Dannat, the former head of the Army, when he says it is not in the character of the British Army to indulge in or support widespread brutality.
I have acted for the British Army for over 25 years and found all personnel to be of an upstanding nature. They are the most honourable of people only wishing to serve their country to the best of their ability. To suggest otherwise is an insult to all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and given their lives or been critically injured in past and current conflicts.
One has to question the ulterior motive behind these accusations by those involved in this legal process. As Lord Dannat has stated it is easy to make accusations but proving them is another matter.
