Larium – unanswered questions remain

The manufacturer of Lariam, a drug that has been blamed for causing suicides and illnesses among Irish soldiers, has agreed to pay a settlement for the first time in a case taken against it in Ireland.

The Select Defence Committee has also this week published the MoD’s response to its letter regarding Lariam. The Committee believes that this is a matter which merits further scrutiny. Therefore, it intends to take oral evidence on the use of Lariam by the armed forces.  Please see link below for full details:
