Body armour failing to protect British troops

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

New tests have revealed that body armour given to British troops is failing to protect them from bullets.

After scans showed cracks in what were supposed to be bullet proof plates, the Ministry of Defence has ordered a major recall.

According to media reports today, the faults were discovered in ceramic plates, called Enhanced Combat Body Armour.

Every plate is being recalled for testing - with the RAF, Army and Navy owning a minimum of 120,000 sets.
