We are thrilled to announce that the work of The Royal British Legion Solicitors Group has been recognised for its sterling work in assisting members of the TRBL and their families over nearly 3 decades. The group are finalists in the glittering Claims Innovation Awards in June as Legal Service Provider of the Year.
The Royal British Legion Solicitors Group was formed in 1988 in recognition of the legal assistance required for members of the armed forces if they were injured or killed whilst in service.
TRBLSG have covered incidents in training including jungle warfare in Belize, manoeuvres in Canada, air crash incidents in Kenya and China as well as incidents in Germany, Hong Kong, Cypress and wherever the British Military are based.
Incidents in wartime have included Northern Ireland , Belize, Gulf War 1, Iraq and Afghanistan including the military inquests for Lance Corporal Matthew ‘Matty’ Hull, Checkpoint Blue 25 and many more.
TRBLSG was more recently involved in the Brecon Beacons Inquest where I gave evidence to the Select Defence Committee Inquiry, Beyond Endurance, culminating in a recommendation that Crown immunity be removed in respect of the Corporate Homicide Act.
