Hilary Meredith Solicitors has successfully represented the claimant in resisting an appeal by the Ministry of Defence against the judgment of HHJ Horton. Kevin Lillington, the claimant, was injured whilst on a promotional course in the Army.
The MOD contested all issues at trial and then appealed the damages and a finding that he would have been promoted absent that injury. The Court of Appeal unanimously rejected the appeal. Sarah Lincoln, Associate at Meredith Solicitors Limited instructed Chris Barnes from Exchange Chambers.
