SOLICITOR

ROLE:
2 – 5 years’ PQE Assistant Solicitor with advocacy experience or a willingness to undertake advocacy work in a tribunal court, to assist a Partner with a large caseload.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to work within Personal Injury Law.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure cases are progressed in a timely, efficient and proactive manner.
• Liaising with clients, experts, barristers, third party solicitors as necessary.
• Dealing with all aspects of pre and post issue procedures in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Pursuing cases to conclusion.
• Ensuring all actions as per Case Management Action List are completed in a timely fashion.
• Reviewing and summarising medical and personnel records.
• Maintaining client files in good order in accordance with Lexcel requirements.
• Accurate time recording.
• Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases.
• Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years’ PQE, with experience in advocacy or an interest in developing in this area.
• Be able to handle your own caseload autonomously and be confident undertaking your own advocacy.
• Clear understanding and application of personal injury law.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent client care skills to include a good telephone manner.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to form and execute case planning and strategies.
• Keen analytical skills.
• Good organisational skills and able to effectively prioritise.
• Ability to form and execute case planning and strategies
• Experience in using Proclaim Case Management System is preferable but not necessary.
• Experience in supervision.
• Desire to work in a small team environment with a senior solicitor and others.
• Desire to contribute to the growth and development of a dynamic team.

LEGAL ASSISTANT

ROLE:
We are currently recruiting for a legal assistant role to assist a Partner with a large caseload. The role will be to work under supervision and in line with current company policies and legal requirements. To accept delegated tasks as directed by the Partner. Applications are welcome from candidates with a minimum of one year’s claimant personal injury experience.

• Drafting skills.
• Reviewing and summarising medical and personnel records.
• Dealing with correspondence and telephone enquiries.
• Maintaining client files in good order in accordance with Lexcel requirements.
• Managing a case management task list in a timely manner.
• Accurate time recording.

LPC GRADUATE

ROLE:
LPC graduate with a strong academic background and one-year’s paralegal experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting skills.
• Reviewing and summarising medical and personnel records.
• Dealing with correspondence and telephone enquiries.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate, preferably with Law related degree and / or professional qualification such as LPC.
• Had experience and conduct of some of their own cases, although not essential.
• Attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and time management skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Excellent client care skills to include a good telephone manner.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in legal drafting is preferable but not necessary.
