Wheelchair tennis star Jamie in fine form

Hilary Meredith sponsored Jamie Burdekin has started 2016 in fine form.

Wheelchair tennis star Jamie ended 2015 with the Nottingham Indoors Doubles Title back in November.

He then started 2016 over in Australia in the Sydney Open Super Series where he got to the doubles final, narrowly being beaten, as well as the men’s QF. He was also in Brisbane prior to this for the first tournament of the year (Queensland Open) and came runner up in the men’s singles and doubles.

The next tournament saw Jamie compete at the ITF Northwest in Preston and Jamie came away with the singles title after beating Ymanitu Silva 6-0, 6-4.

This week he is playing in the Bolton Indoors at Bolton Arena. This is a super series worldwide event and is helping to push the world rankings ahead of the Paralympics.

The calendar is starting to get more and more intense on the road to Rio now and media publicity and interest is growing.
